Delicious fall recipe

Easy Apple Squares

Ingredients

1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
3 cups flour
1 egg
1 can apple pie filling, 15-18 oz.

Directions

Cream the butter and sugar until smooth. Add the flour and the egg, and mix until crumbly. Pour half of the flour mixture into a 9-inch by 13-inch baking pan. Pat down firmly. Pour the can of apple pie filling on top. Sprinkle the rest of the flour mixture on top of the apples. Bake at 375 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes (until golden brown). Cut into squares when cool. Will make about 18 servings. For an extra special treat, serve with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce!
